After spending the past few years as a venture capital investor, I've seen the light and hopped to the other side of the table, joining edtech platform SchooLinks, where I lead finance and operations. Previously I was an early stage investor with venture capital firm LiveOak Venture Partners here in Austin - a $105M fund focused on Texas-based tech companies. My notable investments include Eventador (acquired by Cloudera), Homeward, Eventus, Rollick, and TalentGuard.

I initially started this newsletter in 2017 while completing my MBA at McCombs (UT Austin) as a networking tool, and somehow it's managed to evolve into a beast of its own, with a subscriber list of over 14k. The list includes active investors, executives and professionals from across the region. I've started to gain a sense of pride for sending this weekly newsletter out each and every Sunday, so if you don't see it, check your junk folder.

Prior to business school, I was in the Technology and Life Sciences division of Comerica Bank, where I managed a diverse portfolio of early stage companies and underwrote over $350M in capital commitments. I began my career in investment banking focused on middle market M&A and financial advisory, with US Capital Partners in San Francisco.
